Unfortunately I had to amend my initial review. I have paid $700+ out of pocket & the concern I have is the advice & treatment appears to be profit-driven. I came as I had sudden onset gum issues that are not gum-disease. I didn't expect them to diagnose but I'd heard Ozone therapy could help. It does & I do recommend it. However, I also signed up for tooth cleaning which was done very well but oddly no part of it is covered by insurance & the Dr sells you a lot of add-ons. When I was forced to get Xrays Dr. Gonzalez said I 'might' have 'deep cavities' in my front molar(s). Problem is he was unclear & suggested my using a practitioner-only calcifying paste that I reacted badly to, to 're-mineralize' the suspected cavities. I don't have cavities so that was a red-flag. A few weeks previously he'd said 'I really think you have metal in your mouth from a filling you don't remember that's causing this,' which was another red flag as I have zero cavities. It's concerning to have nebulous conflicting advice. Either a person has a cavity or they don't. He said on one computer it showed nothing, on another there was a 'dark area' - shouldn't he have made certain? I called my old dentist who said no way is it a cavity so that bothered me. They're out of network so they rely upon each client paying a lot. I made the error of recommending a colleague go, she was told by Dr. Peña, even before she'd been seen by her, that 'her crown was going to cause problems' (which it never ever has) she wasn't happy that she said this without even asking if she'd ever had any issues with it, it was not based upon the crown failing but Dr. Peña's belief that we shouldn't have crowns. That's not professional. She felt railroaded being told she should get a CT (and they ARE bad for health!) without DUE cause. She'd already been checked less than 6 months ago, everything was fine. A few days after her appt the tooth next to her crown began hurting, she went to her old dentist who suspects it had been 'harmed' by the cleaning. I feel really bad suggesting she come here & I won't return either, as they do not seem really honest & I have spent a lot of money just to be told I 'might' have two cavities I know I don't have. I can't trust them or their treatments unfortunately. I was referred to a specialist at UT for a fraction of the cost who said it was dangerous to use the re-mineralizing paste if you're not a dentist & that I did not have any cavities I had a non-disease gum-inflammatory response. They felt I should report this experience. In the positive, their receptionists are lovely as is Faith who cleans teeth very well & I believe Ozone can help teeth a lot, but the rest was not good practice.

Our family Dentist! Staff are all amazing and patient with children during procedures. My oldest is autistic and does great here. No overstimulating colors or characters on the walls so he can focus on the request from the staff during cleanings or procedures. Laughing gas is an option after medical history review of course for safety. Been going here over 10 years now I believe. Everyone from front office staff to hygienist to doctors are great. They take dental insurance and I've seen they have a monthly plan as well. Great for larger families for dental care.
